Forgotten - July 23, 2006

God is with Joseph. Nothing - brotherly betrayal, slavery, seduction nor the dungeon - can defeat him. He seems to rise unscathed after every fall. But not in chapter 40. In Genesis 40, we first hear anguish from Joseph's lips and his pleading for help. In his message "Forgotten," Pastor Gene Curtis gives us a chance to think about the incongruity of having God's presence, and yet being in pain. What should we make of this episode of Joseph's story, in which the last words are "he was forgotten"?
